Everyone, at least who is on Twitter, knows what #followfridays is. For the non-tweeters out there, I’ll explain. Someone, like a genius, had the idea to start a chat on Twitter called follow Fridays. On that day, everyone tweets out the hashtag (#) ff (followfriday) followed by a number of people who they think others should follow back. It is like giving a public shout out. For others, the best way to describe it is to think about it like you are in a room full of people in your network. Imagine you have are starting a business relationship with Tyrone. Tyrone provides software that works wonders for different industries. He is a great guy. You like him so much, that you want to introduce him to your network. Boom! That is exactly what #ff is.
Now, that I am done boring you with my explanation of Follow Friday, let’s get down to it. I have a created a weekly segment, where every week I recognize a number of people who I have met in person (usually), I like them and want to share them to my community. The people will be separated into special groups surrounding a commonality they share. You will receive their Twitter handle (@BrandonLewin), their name (obviously), their company, and their special sauce aka what makes them, them.
This week you Must Follow these Chicago women in the technology industry:
Happy Must Follow!
